Soil Freeze-Thaw and Water Transport Characteristics Under Different Vegetation Types in Seasonal Freeze-Thaw Areas of the Loess Plateau

چکیده

In the arid and semi-arid regions of Loess Plateau, seasonal freezing thawing influence soil water movement, movement directly influences vegetation growth. However, currently, research with regard to processes under various types mechanism is lacking. Therefore, present study explored migration characteristics two typical [arbor land (AL) shrub (SL)] on Plateau during using bare (BL) as a control. We used field measured data for hourly temperature (ST) content (SWC) at depth 100 cm below surface from November 2017 March 2018. Freezing process was divided into three stages based ST change (initial period, stable period). Compared previous studies in this area, lower than expected, SWC are also different. The results revealed that: 1) maximum AL SL 60 cm, which 30 less that BL. date each layer BL earliest average value lowest. had highest degree freezing. all layers occurred later SL. minimum temperatures were higher those SL, capacity resist higher; 2) SWCs depths 0–10 10–30 decreased, whereas increased by 152 146%, respectively. 30–60 46.3, 78.4 205%, amount distribution moisture optimum when compared could provide scientific basis restoration areas Plateau.

Freeze-Thaw Bayesian Optimization

In machine learning, the term “training” is used to describe the procedure of fitting a model to data. In many popular models, this fitting procedure is framed as an optimization problem, in which a loss is minimized as a function of the parameters. In all but the simplest machine learning models, this minimization must be performed with an iterative algorithm such as stochastic gradient descen...

Test Study on Strength and Permeability Properties of Lime-Fly Ash Loess under Freeze-Thaw Cycles

In order to study the application of lime-fly ash loess in permafrost subgrade engineering, uniaxial compressive test, fast direct shearing test and permeability tests were carried out on lime-fly ash loess under different curing ages and freeze-thaw cycles. Uniaxial compressive strength of lime-fly ash loess increases slowly with the curing ages, and can reach 3.5 Mpa after the curing ages of ...

The Effects of Concrete Pavement Mix Design Parameters on Durability under Freeze and Thaw Condition

This paper is based on an experimental research that examined the effects of concrete`s major parameters on durability of concrete pavements and curbs under freezing and thawing cycles. These parameters include concrete mix design parameters such as water-cement ratio, fine aggregate percentage and using air entraining admixture and simulating real freeze-thaw cycles that infrastructures underg...

Freeze-Thaw Resistance of Concretes with BFSA

Abstract—Air-cooled Blast Furnace Slag Aggregate (BFSA) is usually referred to as a material providing for unique properties of concrete. On the other hand, negative influences are also presented in many aspects. The freeze-thaw resistance of concrete is dependent on many factors, including regional specifics and when a concrete mix is specified it is still difficult to tell its exact freeze-th...
